Submit a Signed Tax Return
You can submit a copy of your tax return by uploading it directly through StudentForms . View an example tax return (PDF) .
- For the 2025–26 academic year, submit your 2023 Federal Tax Return
- If applicable, include Schedule 1 or 3 with your return
- Tax returns must be signed by the filer or include the preparer’s PTIN/EIN
- Ensure documents are clear and complete

Visit IRS.gov .
You will need:
- Your Social Security Number, date of birth, filing status, and mailing address
- Access to your email account
- An account number from a credit card, mortgage, or loan
- A mobile phone in your name
- Select “Get Your Tax Record,” then “Request Online”
- Access, download, or print your transcript or verification of non-filing letter
Request Mailed Tax Transcript Online
Visit IRS.gov and select “Request by Mail.”
Enter your Social Security Number, date of birth, street address, and ZIP code. Select “Return Transcript” and choose the requested filing year.
Once your request is processed, you can expect to receive your transcript by mail within 10–15 days.
Special Populations
Victims of IRS Tax-Related Identity Theft
- Provide a Tax Return Data Base View (TRDBV) transcript from the IRS
- Provide a signed and dated statement confirming identity theft
Amended IRS Income Tax Returns
- Provide a 2023 IRS Tax Return Transcript (from the original return)
- Provide a signed IRS Form 1040X
Foreign Income Tax Returns
- Provide a transcript from the appropriate taxing authority, or
- A signed copy of the 2023 income tax return if a transcript is unavailable
